Designed for quick, mobile handheld measurements, the unit's functional design allows it to fit in the user's hand and rests firmly and precisely on the workpiece.

It can be used for a variety of measuring tasks and has three standard tracing lengths: 1.5, 4.8, and 15 mm with freely selectable cutoff. The measurement parameters (Ra, Rz, Rk, and Rmax or Rt) can be evaluated according to DIN, ISO, or JIS. In addition, pre-selected tolerances for the roughness parameters permit quick quality checks when making a series of measurements.

The tester can maintain up to 125 measurements in memory, which permits statistical evaluations on the company's P500 printer.

The device comes with a user's manual, battery-charger with rechargeable battery, molded carrying case, and the standard T5E pick-up. A comprehensive range of measurement and evaluation accessories is also available.
