FixLogix LLC has introduced new low-cost technology to simplify fixture builds for tubing dimensional inspection. A t-slot system provides multi-axes infinite adjustment of locating components. The system simulates "free state" inspection, by allowing secondary and tertiary locators to be fit to each individual part. This greatly reduces part distortion from fixture clamping forces.

Olivet, MI (PRWEB) - FixLogix LLC has introduced a new fixture system for staging tubing and assemblies for inspection. Designed for CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and portable arms, the modular fixture system is scalable from a (12" x 12") volume to (54" x 100") in increments of 6". T-slot fixture plates and integrated component kits provide infinite adjustment in multiple axes to simplify part fixture construction for dimensional inspection. The system is very economical, as the FixLogix T-slot plates can be produced at a fraction of the cost of traditional tooling plates. The content of the system is 90% + produced in Michigan.

The infinite adjustability of the system allows the secondary and tertiary locating components to be adjusted to each individual part. This simulates inspection in the "free state", and greatly reduces part distortion due to fixture clamping forces. The plates are marked with laser engraved reference scales along the T-slots, and each T-slot is also Alpha-identified. This provides clear documentation of the fixture setup for easy repeat setups. The system is available in English or Metric versions.

The system is being utilized in a variety of coordinate metrology applications. Users of CMMs, portable coordinate inspection systems such as articulating arms, white light, and laser scanners have found the fixture system to be very useful for a wide variety of part fixture applications. The savings in labor and scrap reduction easily justifies the modest cost of the system.

FixLogix LLC was formed in 2007 to produce and sell modular fixture systems for metrology and other light duty part-holding applications. The company also produces modular fixture systems for vision systems, optical comparators, and laser scanners. The company maintains an e-commerce website.
